Morgan and Kevin’s spring wedding at Village Pine Venue in Pinehurst, NC was colorful, joyful and full of so much love. I had the best time documenting every single moment of it.
Village Pine Venue has this uniquely North Carolina atmosphere. The tall pines, the brick, the open green spaces. It has a warmth to it that comes through in photos in the best way. If you’re in the early stages of researching Pinehurst wedding venues, I think you’re going to love this one.
One of the things I loved most about this venue is how thoughtfully the getting-ready experience is set up. Both the bride and groom have their own separate houses to get ready in, not just separate rooms, but actual houses with real space. As a photographer, this makes such a difference. No cramped hallways, no trying to find a corner with good light. Everyone has room to breathe and just enjoy the morning together.

The ceremony garden is a spring wedding dream. Brick pathways, lush greenery, blooms everywhere, and the most beautiful pine tree backdrop. It has this warm, garden-party feel that photographs so beautifully in natural light. Morgan and Kevin had floral pedestals lining the aisle, and against the brick and pines behind them, it was just stunning.
There’s also a pond out back that could serve as a gorgeous backdrop for a ceremony. The property is large and has so many great spots, which is something I really appreciate as a photographer. You never run out of ideas.

The reception space is clean and modern with high ceilings, beautiful natural light, and a polished concrete floor that is perfect for dancing. It’s the kind of versatile, bright space that lets your florals and personal touches really shine. Morgan and Kevin’s colorful spring decorations felt right at home in there, and it photographed beautifully all night long.

This couple was just so wonderful to spend the day with. They came into their wedding day with so much intention and so much gratitude, and it showed in every single moment. Their whole vision for the day was to be present, to celebrate with their people, and to let the day unfold naturally. That is exactly my kind of wedding to document.
Morgan and Kevin did a first look before the ceremony. Kevin’s reaction when he turned around and saw her was so adorable! They exchanged their private vows right there in the garden, holding each other, and it was so soft and so sweet and so entirely theirs.

Their ceremony was heartfelt and sunny, and surrounded by people who were so genuinely happy to be there. Morgan’s dress was absolutely stunning, all that lace and beading, and her long cathedral veil catching the light. The florals against the brick-and-pine background looked incredible as well. Their pup trotting down the aisle stole the show, too!

The reception had such a warm, easy energy from the very beginning. The speeches were full of stories and love, and once the dancing started, Morgan and Kevin were right in the thick of it, high-energy and big-smiling, completely present with their people all night long.
My favorite moment of the whole evening came at the very end of their exit. They turned around and gave this big, genuine thank you to all their guests who were still there, cheering for them. It is one of my favorite photos I have taken at a reception. It just says so much about who they are as people. Grateful and joyful and so, so glad for every person who showed up to celebrate with them.

“We are so thankful we had Katie as our photographer for both our engagement and wedding. She was everything we could have hoped for—organized, calm, and confident from start to finish. Even in the more stressful moments, like trying to track down our very scattered family for portraits, she handled everything with patience and professionalism.
Katie has an incredible eye for storytelling through her photos. She didn’t just capture beautiful images; she captured the emotion, energy, and love of the day. Our gallery feels like a complete story, and every time we look through it, we get to relive the moments all over again.
Her planning resources and extremely detailed timeline (down to the smallest things we never considered) were also a huge help in keeping us prepared and relaxed. We truly can’t wait to work with her again. Katie is our photographer for life!”

If you are looking for a Pinehurst wedding venue that feels rooted, beautiful, and warm, Village Pine is absolutely worth adding to your tour list. The separate getting-ready houses, the garden ceremony space, the modern reception hall, the pond, and the pines. It is a property with real variety and a lot of heart.
